The story

Named for the colour of a good extraction: deep, warm, almost purple.

Purpur started with two people and one machine, on the idea that a neighbourhood coffee bar didn't have to choose between taking its craft seriously and staying unpretentious about it.

We change the filter offering every few weeks, keep the espresso honest, and bake the pastries we actually want to eat. Stay a while. The wifi works and nobody's rushing you.
